The aliens aren’t the problem. We are.

The Disclosure Event is over. Three governments have fallen, the markets are frozen, and Project Mogul’s mission to contain the truth no longer exists.

Director Kaela Renn and the E-Team have no new orders and no time to wait for them. A physicist’s preprint could rewrite the world’s energy economy, and men in rented SUVs are already hunting him. A Senate bill quietly draws up the legal architecture for hunting the visitors. Someone built the machinery to profit from Disclosure before it happened, and someone inside Mogul is feeding that machine.

Then a craft comes down on the National Mall. Renn walks out alone to meet the three beings waiting beside it. They know exactly who she is.

Pilot Javelin Garner, cyber operator Mark Delaney, and a woman whose gift is growing faster than she can explain it race to stop a manufactured incident that could turn first contact into first war.
