This book is intended for those for whom the lottery games provide an occasional amusement, and who might like to experiment with different games and different ways of playing or selecting numbers to play. In this book we have provided a history of the state lotteries, a quick reference to state lottery web sites, a fun “Ouija” -style number selection “PIKR”, a section to record your “lucky numbers” and perhaps to develop a strategy by detecting the patterns with our TRAKR charts, and a WIN TRAKR section for recording wins. This last section can provide an awareness of how much is being spent, so that things don’t get out of hand.

Games are as old as civilization and gambling isn’t far behind. The earliest versions of lotteries can be traced to Biblical times. In later years, “numbers”, as they were known, were a function of the criminal element. In later years, as criminal lottery games were outlawed, many states in the United States created their own state-run lottery games. The state games were ostensibly to raise funds “for education”, while using the games as an excuse to reduce reliance on the state budget for education funding.

Meanwhile, for the public, the games can range from an amusement to an obsession. Unfortunately, many of those in the obsession description are also those who can least afford it.

You can use a QR-Reader app installed on your phone, or simply use the camera function on your smart phone: go to the camera app and aim it at the QR code on these pages without taking a picture. LOTTO Trakr

Using LOTTO TRAKR: Fill in the drawing dates in the top section. Use past history to darken the dots for the numbers drawn to reveal patterns and trends. Be sure to use a pencil in case you make a mistake. Use separate TRAKR pages if you are tracking more than one favorite game, and you should track Second-Chance or Double-Play draws on their own TRAKR page. Each page will let you track 48 game draws. Use stick-on index tabs from an office or school supply to separate TRAKR pages for different games uija PICKR like a Ouija Board. Move a pointer, or perhaps a metal pen, over the numbers until you “sense” a change. Move back and forth to confirm the location and make note of the number. Repeat until you have all the numbers you need for that particular drawing. For example, 5 numbers plus another number for a Powerball drawing. Do you close your eyes? Do you concentrate on the name of the game you want to play? That’s up to you. Sometimes you may sense strong “vibes” over certain numbers, other times you will not sense anything at all. Try it with your friends to see what numbers they might sense. Write down those numbers and see what happens on the next drawing! Does it work? You decide! Give it a try and see what happens.
