I don’t typically read short stories so I may not be the best person to review this book. I got this book through a Goodreads giveaway so I wanted to share my thoughts.

This was an easy read that I did binge in its entirety. I was hoping for a stronger plot development/continuity between the short stories instead of just the main character’s special ability. But that would make it a novel, wouldn’t it?

Anyway, the characters were easily likable, and it was interesting to follow along with the main character to try to guess how she would help solve the case/what the case would be. Each short story only took a few minutes to read, so it was easy to keep going. The stories left me wanting for more, it would be easy to stretch them out but, again, that would make it a novel and not short stories. In my head, I was picturing how each story could be stretched and made into an episode of a Lifetime series.

Overall, I would recommend this book for someone who is looking for an easy read who isn’t trying to get too invested in a character. I could see this being a perfect, easy, travel read for the car or in an airport. Since each story only takes a few minutes to read, it would be a good use of those few extra minutes that you want to spend reading, but don’t want to start a long chapter of the other book you’re reading that you know you won’t have time to finish.

Good Read

Entirely possible. If anything, it underestimates the homegrown, black operations problem, with patriotic misdirection and obfuscation. The “Kill them all and let God sort them out” fixation would be strong.

Wow! What a great read!

This is one of those books that when you read it you find yourself holding your breath from time to time. Will they make it? Will they be exposed? What’s going to happen next? I can’t wait to dive into the next book in the series. Tim Trott did a […]

A fast paced adventure of survival inside Cuba

I read an advanced copy of this book and do not know the author. Fans of the movie The Fugitive might like this book. It has that kind of adventurous, fast paced, on the run kind of feel. It is a peek inside Fidel Castro’s Cuba; complete with the corruption […]
